Accounting Processor

Description We are looking for a dedicated Accounting Processor to join our team in El Segundo, California. In this Contract-to-permanent position, you will play a vital role in supporting general accounting functions within the logistics industry. The ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in bookkeeping and a keen attention to detail, ensuring accurate and efficient handling of financial processes. Responsibilities: u2022 Process accounts payable transactions, including payments to suppliers, and address inquiries regarding payment statuses. u2022 Prepare and record journal entries for various accounting transactions to ensure accurate financial reporting. u2022 Generate and maintain reports, including balance lists for general ledger accounts and cargo insurance documentation. u2022 Communicate effectively and professionally with branch offices to address and resolve accounting-related issues. u2022 Organize and file financial documents to maintain accurate records and compliance standards. u2022 Assist management with additional accounting tasks and projects as needed. Requirements u2022 Strong understanding of basic bookkeeping principles and practices. u2022 Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field is preferred. u2022 Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other common office software, including email platforms. u2022 Effective interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders. u2022 Ability to complete tasks accurately and efficiently while adhering to deadlines. u2022 Familiarity with accounts payable and journal entry processes. u2022 Experience in preparing financial reports and handling Form 1099 is a plus.
