Get more details below!What a Cell Operator will do:Tend to one or more machine tools, special-purpose machines, or industrial robots to machine metalwork pieces to specifications on a production basisRead blueprint or job order for product specifications, such as dimensions and tolerances, and tooling instructions, such as fixtures, feed rates, cutting speeds, and depth of cut, and determine the sequence of operationsSelect, position, and secure the tool in the tool holder (chuck, collet, or tool post)Identify (including nonconforming dimensions) and separate all nonconforming partsPerform accurate inspections required by the print/job sheet using measuring instruments such as micrometers, dial indicators, and gauges to measure workpieces for conformation to specificationsPerform secondary operations and inspections, including deburring and cleaning parts produced, as cycle time permitsCount finished parts and pack them neatly into a clean containerEnter the required data into the computerWhat you need to be a Cell Operator:High school diploma or GED3+ months of relative experience and/or trainingAbility to measure components and assemblies to verify conformance to the print (tape measure, scale, caliper)Strong mechanical aptitude, including a basic understanding of various types of tools used in the machining processKnowledge of gases and power sources used in the welding processAbility to read and interpret the load-out list, shipment schedule, and all other related work documents Don’t wait… Join this dynamic team today!
