Summary of PositionWe are looking for a Host or Hostess to join Hammered Crab and be the first point of contact for our guests.Host/Hostess responsibilities include greeting guests, providing accurate wait times and escorting customers to the dining and bar areas. For this role, you should have solid organizational and people skills to make sure Hammered Crab guests have a positive dining experience from the moment they arrive till their departure. Ultimately, you’ll ensure we provide excellent customer service and a positive, unforgettable dining experience to our guests.ResponsibilitiesHost/Hostess are responsible for welcoming all guests to Hammered CrabProvide accurate wait times and monitor waiting listsManage reservationsEscort customers to assigned dining or bar areasProvide menus and announce Server/Bartender’s nameThank customers upon their departureCoordinate with wait staff about available seating optionsMaintain a clean reception areaCater to guests who require extra attention (e.g. children, elderly)Answer incoming calls and address customers’ questions.Assist wait/bar staff as neededHigh School Diploma or GED * At least 18 years of age * Ability to lift at least 25 lbs * Stand for long periods of time * Basic computer knowledge * Ability to work under pressure * Ability to work with a team * Must be willing to work nights, weekends and holidays * Willing to work in a smoke, tobacco and drug free work place.
