Our client is looking for a Senior Programmer/Analyst/Web Developer with a strong background in both current Internet technologies and IBM mainframe environments. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of four years of experience in software development and systems analysis, with a proven ability to design, develop, and maintain both web-based and mainframe applications. As part of our team, you will work on high-impact projects and contribute to the evolution of our systems and this role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to build and optimize robust solutions that integrate modern web technologies with legacy IBM mainframe systems. Payrate is 80-90K annually.Key Responsibilities:Web Development: Design, develop, and maintain web-based applications using modern web technologies while ensuring seamless integration with IBM mainframe systems.Mainframe Programming: Develop and maintain COBOL programs, CICS transactions, and DB2 databases within the z/OS environment. Ensure high performance and reliability of mainframe applications.System Analysis: Work with stakeholders to gather requirements and create solutions that meet business needs. Analyze and troubleshoot complex systems to improve functionality and performance.Database Management: Utilize DB2 and SQL to design, query, and maintain databases, ensuring data integrity and efficient database performance.Collaboration: Collaborate with other developers, analysts, and system administrators to deliver integrated solutions that meet both web and mainframe requirements.Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Perform system upgrades, apply patches, and resolve issues with both mainframe and web applications. Provide ongoing support for mission-critical novation: Stay up-to-date with the latest trends in web technologies and mainframe systems to continually improve the companyu2019s IT infrastructure and application capabilities.
