Alzheimeru2019s Medical Liaison Field Director We are hiring a Medical Liaison (ML) Field Director to lead a team of MLs. The ML Director will oversee a Medical Liaison Team for the West. Responsibilities include Building relationships and demonstrating the clinical outcome and benefits of Client products. The ML Field Director will educate and demonstrate the benefits of key products to Healthcare Professionals (HCPs). Provide medical information and coordinate educational workshops, round tables, medical forums, etc. This role may require identifying sites for clinical trials in all stages of development. Incumbents will have a deep scientific and clinical education and experience within Field Medical Affairs for this position functions as a scientific liaison between NNI and key external customers to further scientific exchange. The Field Director overseas a team that provides advanced product and scientific and medical field support to Medical, Sales and Marketing, as well as Managed Care and Government by using academic/professional credentials and scientific expertise to communicate with health care providers, organized providers/accounts and other relevant healthcare organizations. Works with internal medical affairs team to determine and execute against the medical strategic, including strategic determination of change of territory prioritization based on customer need and analytics which identify need for change. This may occur at any time throughout the annual performance cycle. The ML Field Director will be responsible for the following: + Develops and maintains medical (territory and account) plans in coordination with the MLs. + The successful candidate will be highly motivated with clinical or scientific knowledge in CNS, specifically Alzheimeru2019s Disease. + Must have good analytical decision-making abilities + Must have Exceptional business acumen. Qualifications & Requirements: + Advanced degree required (PharmD, MD, relevant PhD, etc). + At least two yearsu2019 experience in a health-related system, pharmaceutical company, or + Managed Care Environment required. + Proven track record with a minimum of 3 years in leading a national clinical team in the + biopharma industry, required. + Experience managing a Medical Affairs team required. u2022 Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire an ML team and management towards exceeding objectives u2022 Relevant clinical and/or therapeutic experience preferred u2022 Displays business acumen/knowledge based on experiences such as participation in formulary process decisions u2022 Extensive experience in neurology, specifically Alzheimeru2019s Disease strongly preferred u2022 Strong leadership, planning and organization, problem solving and decision-making skills, as well as technical skills u2022 Strong business acumen and ability to clearly and concisely report detailed data to management, as well as the customer u2022 Ability to effectively communicate directly with the customer to ensure that all customer goals and objectives are being met as planned Essential Functions Administrative Duties u2022 Completes administrative duties in an accurate manner and on a timely basis, in line with current SOPs and working practices u2022 Complies with all guidelines, policies, legal, regulatory, and compliance requirements u2022 Ensures effective administrative management of regional business as well as operational budgets u2022 Maintains thorough understanding of all relevant Client processes and procedures, and proactively assists other FMA members to further their understanding with these as needed u2022 Provides monthly reports on scientific support activities in region to Director including budget expenditures as directed u2022 Records all activities within a customer relationship management system (e.g. VEEVA) and all expenses within Concur in accordance with FMA procedures Program Management u2022 Aligning performance with success u2022 Handle performance management and personnel issues of ML team u2022 Monitor and manage expectations in line with project goals as set by Client and agreed upon by IQVIA u2022 Act as the primary link between NNI and IQVIA for all operational and human resources/personnel needs relating to the ML team u2022 Make regular field visits: to develop and motivate MLs for achievement of objectives; to assess and monitor field activity and work schedules; to monitor and manage field reporting by MLs u2022 Assist with the planning and delivery of training and team meetings u2022 Assist in backfill recruiting, interview, and selection of MLs as needed u2022 Create, Monitor, Review, and/or approve administrative and compliance reports u2022 Records all activities within a customer relationship management system (e.g. VEEVA) and all expenses within Concur in accordance with FMA procedures, and monitors team compliance Physical Requirements 40-50% overnight travel required; Driver must maintain a valid driveru2019s license. #LI-CES IQVIA is a leading global provider of clinical research services, commercial insights and healthcare intelligence to the life sciences and healthcare industries. The potential base pay range for this role is $220,000-250,000 annually.
