Hastings MN Elevator Supervisor Your role:AsElevatorSupervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing and executing day-to-day operations forelevatordepartment ensuring direct reports are following policies and procedures related to employee safety and food/feed Safety.To succeed, youmustbe able to:Deliver results in first-time situations by inspiring others and working to earn trust every day. Above all you will be expected to carry out all your activities with reliability, integrity, compliance and in a safe, environmentally responsible, and efficient manner.Yourresponsibilities:Oversees and executes day-to-day operations for department ensuring direct reports are following policies and procedures related to employee safety and food/feed safety.Partners with Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) and Food Safety, Quality and Regulatory experts to implement the most effective approach for complying with corporate safety policies and procedures.Monitors production outcomes, quantity, and quality to ensure customer and food safety requirements are within specifications while providing recommendations forcontinuousimprovements Participate and lead process improvement initiatives includingCenterlining, Preventative Maintenance, Pristine, 5S and ELEMEDS (Every Load, Every Mill, Every Day Safely)Partners with local plant management to develop approaches for meeting/tracking efficiency standards (scorecard and metrics control, total cost of maintenance, monthly review of compliance audits, etc.)Develops planning for future production workforce needs and participates in selection of employeesPerform grain inventory and provide corrective actions/investigations to solve for any inventory variance outside of variance range in the digital vs. physical countResponsible forworkforce engagement, recognition as well asdevelopment and coachingto hourly team membersEssential skills and experience:Bachelors degreeor High school diploma/GEDequivalentwith4years ofproductionexperience Minimum of1years experience having leadership responsibilities inanelevatoror industrialenvironment (milling, agricultural, food production, or equivalent)Demonstratedunderstanding of safety hazardsandprotocolsUnderstanding ofcomputerized maintenance management systemsGood to have:2+ years in a leadership role within an elevatorKnowledgeof maintaining, operating, and troubleshooting cleaning, and conveying systems Training in LEAN, Six Sigma, or other manufacturing and warehousing optimization processesReliabilitycentered maintenance training around packaging equipment best practices.Physical requirements and working conditions (with or without reasonable accommodation):Ability to perform work at a computer and other administrative/managerial tasks Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as is required by the operating areas (i.e. safety glasses, protective footwear, hard hat, hearing protection and, at times, a respirator)Ability to work a rotating schedule including nights, weekends and holidaysAbility to work a machine-paced continuous process that operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week with conditions which include:Hot/Cold temperatures (inclement weather)Indoor/Outdoor environmentDusty environment(to include Wheat/Gluten allergens)Noisy environmentFrequent moving/vibration/ or other motion of equipment/processesElevated PlacesAbility to perform work safely which may require:Frequently standing, walking, rotating,bending/stooping, twisting, crouching, kneeling, balancing and reachingor lifting at varying heights and levelsFrequentlyclimbing stairs and/or laddersOccasionally lifting, shovelingand/or carrying Occasionally pushing and/or pullingWorking in confined or elevated placesOther considerations:Must be able to read, interpret instruction and technology and communicate effectively in EnglishMust be willing to work alongside yourteam including long days(days, evenings, and nights) as well as weekendsor holiday work. Our salary ranges are broad, and individual salary will be market competitive based on a candidates unique set of skills and level of experience. The starting range for this position is $74,600.00 - $99,444.40, with additional earning potential possible commensurate with experience. Additionally, we believe that our team members are the reason for our success and all team members are incentive eligible with a target based on contribution, company performance, and individual results achieved.
