Olivia Restorative Therapy and Nursing - Speech Therapist (SLP)Position Summary:The Speech Therapist (SLP) evaluates, diagnoses, and treats communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders. This role focuses on helping individuals improve their speech, language, voice, cognition, and safe swallowing abilities to maximize independence and quality of life.Key Responsibilities:Evaluate residents/patients for communication, cognitive, and swallowing needsDevelop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessments and physician ordersProvide therapy services to improve speech, language, voice, fluency, memory, problem-solving, and swallowing safetyDocument evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries in compliance with professional, state, and federal standardsEducate residents, families, and staff on communication strategies, swallowing precautions, and home programsCollaborate with physicians, nursing, and other therapy disciplines to ensure coordinated careParticipate in interdisciplinary care plan meetings and quality improvement programsMaintain professional licensure and adhere to ethical practice standardsQualifications:Current and active Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license in Minnesota (or eligibility)Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited programCertificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferredStrong assessment, treatment, and documentation skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsExperience in skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or long-term care preferredWhat’s Offered:Competitive pay and benefits packageOpportunities for professional growth and continuing educationCollaborative, supportive team environmentA rewarding opportunity to improve residents’ independence, safety, and quality of life
