Job Description

WinnCompanies is searching for a General Maintenance Associate to join our military housing team located at Fort Drum, this role, you will perform maintenance functions in the community, including rental units, office buildings, residential areas, grounds and parking lots. The ideal candidate will also repair building structures and associated residential electrical, plumbing, sanitary systems and equipment ensuring all services are performed safely and result in favorable customer feedback.Please note that the pay range for this position is $ to $ dependent on experience. This position is for the second shift, with a regular schedule of Sunday through Wednesday, from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM. A $ per hour shift differential is offered for this shift.This position is located at a federal facility. In accordance with the REAL ID Act, effective May 7, 2025, a REAL ID compliant driver's license/ID is required in order to access the federal facility.ResponsibilitiesRespond to service calls, complete COM work and other property maintenance requests.Conduct maintenance clean-up which includes, but not limited to: cleaning, painting, interior/exterior decorating and lawn maintenance.Transport, install and connect stoves, refrigerators, dishwashers and other electrical and gas appliances.Transport equipment, furnishings and appliances to job sites.Perform on-call emergency repairs as directed by immediate supervisor or other organizational management stakeholders.Repair and fabricate window and door screens and frames.Dig / fill and tamp earth excavations; level grounds using pick, shovel, tamper and rake; shovel concrete; clean culverts and ditches; cut tree and brush; operate power tools and lawn mowers.Remove floor tile, sheet vinyl, ceramic floor tile and plywood.Operate power blowers or use brooms to clean roof tops, sidewalks and driveways of leaves and debris. Ensure work-site clean up.Respond to and complete on-call after hour emergency and urgent repairs.Update work order status including time, materials and notes on mobile devices provided in an accurate and timely plete and submit all required paperwork in an accurate and timely manner. Keep supervisor well-informed of activities, results of efforts, problems identified/potential problems, etc.Maintain vehicle and vehicle inventory as prescribed.RequirementsHigh school diploma or GED equivalent.Less than 1 year of relevant work experience.A current driver's license in good standing and ability to meet the driving records standards outlined in the Company Safe Vehicular Operations Policy.Basic competency in carpentry, plumbing and electrical trades at a minimum.Ability to provide basic tools and equipment necessary to perform daily duties.Basic familiarity with computers, tablets and mobile devices.Ability to plan, organize and prioritize work, work to deadlines using sound judgement.Ability to adapt successfully to changing situations and environments.This position is located at a federal facility.
