Assisted Living CMA - Part Time Night Shift

Dispense medication in a safe and timely manner to Assisted Living residents requiring this service. Practice the Five Rights of Medication Administration: 1.) Right resident, 2.) Right medication, 3.) Right time, 4.) Right route, 5.) Right dose. Observe and report any change in residents condition to Charge Nurse. Take vital signs as ordered.Maintain a clean and well-stocked medication cart. Document medication administration according to Bethany Home Assisted Living policy. Understand and maintain confidentiality. Manage routine chores, such as laundry, and housekeeping as needed. **RESPONSIBILITIES:** 1. Have knowledge of, and pass medications as ordered by physician 2. Take vital signs as ordered. 3. Observe for possible need for PRN medication and report observations to Assisted Living Nurse. Administer PRN medications as ordered by Assisted LivingNurse. 4. Understand possible side effects and interactions of medications. 5. Maintain a clean and well-stocked medication cart. 6. Understand and maintain confidentiality. 7. Understand Bethany Home Assisted Living'spolicies on abuse prevention, safety, fire safety, severe weather safety. 8. Implement infection control practices according to Bethany Home Association policy. 9. Understand and document according to Bethany Home Association policy. 10. Completes all assigned in-service training. 11. Assures medication certification is current at all times. 12.
