Associate Analyst, Actuarial (Marketplace/ACA) - REMOTE

JOB DESCRIPTION Job Summary The role is responsible for assisting in establishing premium rates and conducting financial analysis and reporting. A key responsibility of this role is supporting the Molina Marketplace ACA individual market pricing, forecasting, and accrual processes. Essential Job Duties u2022 Supports the development of incurred but not reported (IBNR) estimates and rate adequacy studies, and documents assumptions. u2022 Analyzes results to identify early signs of trends or other issues related to medical care costs. u2022 Performs actuarial studies related to medical care costs and trends. u2022 Generates and distributes routine reports to support IBNR calculations, pricing and financial reporting. u2022 Extracts and compiles information from various systems to support executive decision-making. u2022 Supports the development of reports and analysis for senior leadership, and effectively communicates results. Required Qualifications u2022 Up to 1 year of actuarial experience, or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience. u2022 At least 1 passing Society of Actuaries (SOA) exam. u2022 Bacheloru2019s degree in actuarial, mathematics, statistics, economics or related field. u2022 Advanced understanding of statistics/predictive analytics. u2022 Demonstrated problem-solving skills. u2022 Strong critical-thinking and attention to detail. u2022 Ability to effectively collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders. u2022 Strong time-management skills, and ability to manage simultaneous projects and tasks to meet internal deadlines. u2022 Effective verbal and written communication skills. u2022 Proficient in Microsoft Office suite products, including key skills in Excel (VLOOKUPs and pivot tables), and applicable software program(s) proficiency.
