Staff Accountant

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Rancho Cucamonga, California. In this Contract to permanent position, you will play a key part in managing financial records and ensuring compliance with accounting standards within the telecom services industry. Responsibilities: u2022 Prepare monthly financial statements and related supporting schedules with accuracy and attention to detail. u2022 Perform general ledger reviews, entries, and reconciliations to maintain compliance with accounting standards. u2022 Process and post Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable transactions, ensuring proper coding and timeliness. u2022 Reconcile bank accounts, credit card accounts, and other balance sheet items to ensure accurate records. u2022 Monitor cash flow and track outstanding receivables and payables to support financial planning. u2022 Assist in month-end close processes, including journal entries, accruals, and variance analysis. u2022 Maintain detailed and organized accounting records for internal audits and reporting purposes. u2022 Collaborate with the Controller to support budgeting efforts and financial reporting needs. u2022 Ensure adherence to internal policies and procedures by monitoring compliance. u2022 Work with internal teams to address billing discrepancies, payment issues, and vendor inquiries promptly. Requirements u2022 Proficiency in corporate tax, including sales tax and corporate tax returns. u2022 Strong knowledge of journal entries and general ledger processes. u2022 Familiarity with construction accounting principles and AIA billing. u2022 Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and VLOOKUP. u2022 Experience in managing detailed financial records and reconciliations. u2022 Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. u2022 Excellent communication skills to coordinate with internal teams and vendors. u2022 Strong analytical skills to identify and resolve discrepancies effectively.
