Description We are looking for an experienced Workersu2019 Compensation Senior Claim Representative to join our team in Los Angeles, California. In this role, you will oversee the management of workersu2019 compensation lost time claims, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations and delivering exceptional customer service throughout the claims process. This is a Long-term Contract position requiring strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills. Responsibilities: u2022 Manage all aspects of workersu2019 compensation lost time claims from initial setup to resolution, maintaining high standards of customer service. u2022 Conduct thorough investigations to gather facts, obtain statements, and assess compensability of claims. u2022 Administer statutory medical and indemnity benefits promptly and accurately throughout the duration of each claim. u2022 Collaborate with attorneys to oversee hearings and manage litigation processes effectively. u2022 Establish and adjust reserve amounts for medical, indemnity, and related expenses within authority limits. u2022 Coordinate with vendors, nurse case managers, and rehabilitation managers to ensure optimal medical management and return-to-work initiatives. u2022 Prepare detailed reports documenting investigation outcomes, claim settlements, denials, and evaluations. u2022 Ensure compliance with state regulations by accurately filing workersu2019 compensation forms and electronic data. u2022 Refer claims for subrogation and facilitate recovery opportunities by securing necessary documentation. u2022 Work closely with internal teams, including Technical Assistants and Special Investigators, to exceed customer expectations and deliver superior claims handling. Requirements u2022 Proven experience as a lost time examiner or in a similar role handling workersu2019 compensation claims. u2022 Strong knowledge of workersu2019 compensation statutes, regulations, and compliance requirements. u2022 Proficiency in utilizing data analytics and modeling to expedite claim resolution. u2022 Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with insureds, claimants, medical providers, and attorneys. u2022 Strong organizational and time management abilities to handle multiple claims efficiently. u2022 Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software tools. u2022 Ability to manage vendor relationships and oversee medical management initiatives. u2022 Experience in litigation support and working with legal teams.
