Mailroom Assistant

Description We are looking for a dedicated Mailroom Assistant to join our team in Albany, New York. In this long-term contract position, you will play a vital role in ensuring efficient mail handling and distribution within the organization. Responsibilities: u2022 Receive and open incoming mail promptly and accurately. u2022 Sort and organize mail items for efficient distribution within the organization. u2022 Count and prepare mail for routing to the appropriate locations. u2022 Deliver and distribute mail to designated departments or personnel. u2022 Maintain records of mail processing and ensure proper tracking. u2022 Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth mailroom operations. u2022 Adhere to business casual dress code and maintain a neat appearance. u2022 Assist with additional mailroom or receptionist tasks as assigned. Requirements u2022 Strong communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members. u2022 Excellent organizational abilities to manage high volumes of mail. u2022 Attention to detail and adherence to business casual dress code. u2022 Familiarity with mail processing and distribution procedures. u2022 Ability to work Monday through Friday during assigned shift hours. u2022 Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in mail sorting and routing. u2022 Experience in mailroom operations or similar roles is preferred.
