No County Monroe Street Address Industry Secure Center 101 Ryder Hill Road City Rush State NY Zip Code 14543 Duties Description Perform the full range of professional dental services, including:Makes examinations of individuals teeth and surrounding oral structures utilizing x-rays, mouth mirrors, and other diagnostic procedures and instruments to determine pathological or irregular conditions.Treats dental diseases, injuries and malfunctions of teeth and gums.Performs restoration of simple and compound cavities.Performs single and multiple extractions of teeth.Cleans teeth.Treats teeth, mouth, and gum infections with appropriate drugs or by surgery.Maintains written records of individualsu2019 dental treatments.Advises individuals about dental health practices. Minimum Qualifications Open to the Public: This title is part of the New York Hiring for Emergency Limited Placement Statewide Program (NY HELPS).Possession of a license and current registration to practice dentistry in New York State.Must maintain a valid New York State license and registration. Additional Comments Salary Schedule for the position is as follows:Posted Hiring Salary includes the sum of the statutory hiring rate for PS&T Grade 30 + Increased Hiring Rate ($26,742) + Geographic Differential ($35,000). This title is part of the New York Hiring for Emergency Limited Placement Statewide Program (NY HELPS). For the duration of the NY HELPS Program, this title maybe filled via a non-competitive appointment, which means no examination is required but all candidates must meet the minimum qualifications of the title for which they apply. At a future date, it is expected employees hired under NY HELPS will have their non-competitive employment status converted to competitive status, without having to compete in an examination. Employees will then be afforded with all of the same rights and privileges of competitive class employees of New York State.
