Cleans and disinfects x-ray room and equipment.Prepare barium preparation and other chemical mixture for x-rays.​Prepare patient for x-rays, explains procedures, transfers patient to table, position patient, andassistspatient at end of procedure.Follow prescribed techniques in administrating general and specific x-rays. Adjusts equipment,determinesproper voltage, current, and desired exposure time. Arranges immobilization and support devices to obtain position of patient and adjusts the lead shield and selects properfilms.​Radiographs all incoming patients.Observes patient and machine during procedures and reports unusual occurrences and records patient’s condition.Routinelymaintainsstock supplies and performs general office duties such asdraftingreports.​Assistschief technologist inmaintainingradiographic technique charts.TransportpatientsFollow infection control guidelines applicable to the section.Efficiently takes mobile x-ray unit to patient’s room or emergency room.​​Qualifications:​​Associate or bachelor’s degree in Radiology.​Maryland State License.​​ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technology)Registered. This position has a hiring range of : USD $29.15 - USD $51.68 /Hr.
