Located in the Phoenix, Ariz., suburb of Chandler, the Chandler Regional Medical Center is a 429-bed, not-for-profit hospital with more than 2,600 team members and almost 1,000 doctors on staff representing all major specialties. Chandler Regional joined the Dignity Health system in 1999, but has been part of the community for more than 50 years. The hospital includes a Level I Trauma Center, a Heart and Vascular Center, a Wound Healing Center, a Family Birth Center and many additional services. Dignity Health Chandler Regional, Mercy Gilbert, and Arizona General Hospital Mesa awarded $422,000 in grants to support five community projects led by 15 local organizations. Since 1991, Dignity Health's Community Health Improvement Grants program has provided $91 million to nearly 3,800 health projects, focusing on vulnerable and underserved populations.As a Pharmacy Technician, you will be a central figure in our pharmacy, providing essential support to pharmacists in dispensing medications, assisting patients, and ensuring smooth daily operations. You will play a vital role in upholding medication safety, patient satisfaction, and efficient workflow.Every day, you will expertly process prescriptions, meticulously enter patient information, accurately count, pour, and label medications, and manage inventory, ensuring adherence to strict regulations and policies. You will also assist patients, answer questions within your scope, manage prescriber communication, and maintain a clean environment, providing compassionate and efficient service.To be successful in this role, you will combine a strong understanding of pharmaceutical terminology, exceptional attention to detail, and excellent communication and customer service skills. You will demonstrate a proactive approach, a commitment to accuracy, and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment dedicated to delivering safe, patient-centered care.Perform all duties of a pharmacy technician in accordance with established policies and procedures related to the preparation and distribution of medicationPerform duties required to restock medication dispensing cabinets and fill first dosesPerform duties required in processing medications at patient discharge and transferPerform duties required for patient specific medication deliveryPerform duties required for narcotic distribution and assist in discrepancy resolutionProcess credits and restock returnsRecord wasteAnswer phone and determine order status; triage calls for appropriate resolutionMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:High school diploma/GEDA minimum of one year hospital pharmacy or related experience or a graduate of a certified pharmacy technology programArizona Pharmacy Technician LicenseTyping speed 35 wpmBasic CRT knowledgeGood communication skillsAbility to work as a team memberKnowledge of drug names and basic math
