Financial Analyst

This position provides customer service and financial support to staff and agency partners. It performs program and financial analysis, assists in formulating and implementing financial policies and procedures, and helps oversee the preparation of the agency’s operating budget. The role provides technical assistance to the Finance Director and Department Directors, develops and maintains financial systems, and assists in preparing annual financial statements and managing agency funds. Tasks may vary depending on agency needs. Agency Support & Representation Demonstrates and promotes the agency’s values, beliefs, and standards of performance. Serves as a liaison between the central office fiscal department and departments across the agency. Works effectively with all levels of staff, officials, and the public. Financial Analysis & Reporting Develops, prepares, analyzes, and distributes program performance reports (e.g., financial, staffing, facility, expenses, cost-effectiveness). Prepares and monitors budgets and quarterly/monthly financial statements. Evaluates actual versus planned performance and identifies opportunities for increased fund utilization and cost savings. Conducts fiscal analysis of proposals and prepares monthly grant billings. Prepares special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information to assess fiscal impacts on the agency. Technical & Administrative Support Provides technical assistance and support to staff by interpreting policies, answering financial questions, and resolving discrepancies. Assists with cost-effectiveness and feasibility studies. Supports local centers with financial functions including payroll, purchasing, contract administration, and financial analysis. Assists in developing and implementing financial policies and procedures to ensure effective and efficient accounting service delivery. Participates in special projects as assigned. #albor
