Job Title: Director of Nursing (DON) - Contract Assignment Location: Onsite Duration: 8 Weeks Shift: Day Shift (7:00 AM - 3:30 PM) Hours: 40 Guaranteed Hours per Week Job Description We are seeking an experienced Director of Nursing (DON) for an 8-week contract role. The DON will oversee all nursing operations within the facility, ensuring high-quality clinical care, regulatory compliance, and effective team leadership. This position requires a strong nursing leader with exceptional organizational and communication skills. Key Responsibilities Provide leadership and oversight for all nursing department operations. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations as well as internal policies. Develop and implement nursing policies, procedures, and standards of care. Supervise, support, and evaluate nursing staff to ensure quality performance. Participate in care planning, interdisciplinary meetings, and patient assessments. Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation required for audits and compliance. Oversee staffing schedules to maintain adequate coverage and workload balance. Promote a safe, compassionate, and patient-centered environment. Requirements Active RN license (state-specific or compact). Prior experience as a Director of Nursing or Assistant DON. Strong understanding of regulatory compliance in long-term care or acute care settings. Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
