Job Description

Travel Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - 10-Week Contract Shift: Day Shift | 5:45 AM - 6:15 PM (12-hour shift with 30-minute meal break) Position Summary We are seeking a reliable and experienced Travel Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a 10-week contract assignment in a skilled nursing/long-term care setting. The LPN will provide high-quality nursing care to residents, support daily clinical operations, and ensure compliance with all facility and regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and care plans. Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately. Monitor residents’ health status, report significant changes to the RN or physician, and document appropriately. Assist residents with daily activities and support their physical, emotional, and psychosocial well-being. Perform wound care, catheter care, vital signs, assessments, and other LPN-level clinical duties. Collaborate with CNAs, RNs, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated resident care. Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR). Ensure proper infection control practices and adherence to safety protocols. Assist in emergency situations following facility guidelines. Qualifications Active and unrestricted LPN license in the state of assignment (or ability to obtain before start). Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in skilled nursing, long-term care, or medical-surgical settings preferred. CPR/BLS certification (required). Strong clinical judgment and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication and documentation skills. Must be dependable and able to work required rotating weekend schedule.
