Position Overview Associate Faculty Pool: Psychology Pool (PT Faculty)SALARY: A five-credit "lecture mode" class would be approximately $6,387.94LOCATION: Lynnwood, WashingtonDESCRIPTION:We invite dedicated and engaging educators to join our associate faculty pool of Psychology Instructors. This flexible, part-time opportunity is ideal for those passionate about supporting student success, promoting equity, and fostering an understanding of human behavior through psychological science.You will teach introductory and transfer-level psychology courses, such as General Psychology, Lifespan Development, and Social Psychology, in online, hybrid, or in-person formats. As a valued member of the School of Humanities and Social Sciences, you will report to the Dean of HSS and contribute to the academic development of a diverse and motivated student body.We accept applications for part-time faculty positions on an ongoing basis. Typical requirements for part-time faculty are listed below. To be included in the part-time pool, please follow the application procedure below.Applications remain on file for one year. If you wish to remain in the part-time pool beyond that time, you can update and resubmit your online application yearly.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Teach assigned psychology courses to a diverse student population using in-person, online, and hybrid modalities.Develop course materials that promote engagement, inclusion, and evidence-based learning.Assess student learning, provide timely feedback, and assign grades consistent with departmental standards.Advise and mentor students in support of their academic and professional goals.Collaborate with colleagues to create an inclusive, culturally responsive learning environment.Maintain accurate instructional records and participate in professional development activities.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Master's degree in PsychologyRecent experience teaching psychology at the college or high school level, or experience providing psychological instruction or training in professional settings.Demonstrated understanding of psychological theories, research methods, and applications.Ability to communicate and teach effectively, incorporating diverse perspectives and learning needs.DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:Experience working with students and staff from diverse cultural and socioeconomic mitment to culturally responsive and inclusive pedagogy.Familiarity with online learning platforms such as Canvas.Strong ability to inspire curiosity and critical thinking in students.Flexibility to adapt teaching strategies to different learning environments.PHYSICAL WORK ENVIRONMENT:Work is typically performed in a classroom, office, or online from home and requires standing and/or sitting for extended periods of time.The ability to communicate effectively is structors are required to use a computer in the work environment. The ability to navigate difficult terrain in field settings is PENSATION:The work schedule is based on an eleven-week quarterly schedule and could vary each quarter. Salary is dependent upon contract load and mode of instruction. A standard five-credit "lecture mode" class would be approximately $6,387.94 at Step A.
