Job Title: Senior SuperintendentJob Description The Senior Superintendent is responsible for planning and overseeing all aspects of an assigned Data Center project, including safety, subcontractor field management, schedule, and budget management. This encompasses pre-planning from pre to post-construction stages. The Senior Superintendent collaborates closely with the Senior Project Manager to achieve project goals and manage all field operational duties. Responsibilities + Manage all pre-construction related tasks, including building crisis management plans, schedules, site logistics plans, site-specific rules and regulations, and safety plans. + Oversee all field staff, subcontractors, and suppliers engaged in assigned projects, conducting daily huddles, weekly work plans, job site coordination, and delivery of materials. + Develop, manage, and implement the project schedule and make necessary adjustments, working closely with the Project Management team to ensure the schedule remains updated. + Collaborate with the Project Management team throughout the project, including selecting subcontractors, writing RFIs, and developing and tracking the procurement of materials, tools, and equipment. + Work with the Quality Control team to ensure project-specific requirements are met, implementing site-specific Quality Control plans with the QC department and Project Management. + Ensure all on-site documentation, including drawings, logs, and inspection books, are updated and current. Assist in documenting As-Built drawings. + Ensure alignment with the project budget, including labor, materials, and equipment, working with the Project Management team to assess weekly/monthly cost projections and expenditures. + Manage overall site labor, material, and equipment budget for the project's duration. Essential Skills + High school diploma or GED + 15+ years of construction-related experience + Proficiency in computer applications, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and Bluebeam (or equivalent software) + Ability to supervise multiple Superintendents or Assistants on larger scale projects + Ability to organize and facilitate Superintendent meetings + Experience in mentoring through various training programs + Demonstrated experience in initiating and driving continuous improvement + HSPD-12 security screening Additional Skills & Qualifications + Two or four-year degree in a construction-related field + 5+ years of Data Center and Mission Critical experience + Ability to assist in adjusting field labor from one project to another + Current OSHA 30 certification + Strong verbal and written communication and leadership skills + Positive attitude, strong work ethic, innovative and forward-thinking + Current CPR/First Aid training Work Environment The position reports to the Raleigh office but requires regular travel across the Southeast region for Data Center projects.
