Deer Park Health & Rehabilitation - Job Title: RN Supervisor - 2nd Shift (3:00 PM - 11:00 PM) Facility: Deer Park Health and RehabLocation: Nebo, North CarolinaDepartment: NursingReports To: Director of Nursing (DON)Schedule: Full-Time / Part-Time - 2nd Shift (3:00 PM - 11:00 PM) Position Summary: Deer Park Health and Rehab is seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) Supervisor for our 2nd shift. The RN Supervisor plays a vital role in overseeing nursing operations during evening hours, ensuring high-quality resident care, maintaining regulatory compliance, and supporting clinical staff. This leadership position is ideal for an RN who is confident, organized, and passionate about long-term care. Key Responsibilities: Supervise and support licensed nursing staff and CNAs on the 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM shift. Monitor resident care to ensure it meets or exceeds regulatory standards and facility expectations. Provide direct nursing care as needed, including assessments, treatments, and medication administration. Serve as a resource and clinical decision-maker for staff on shift. Communicate effectively with physicians, families, and other departments regarding resident status. Participate in shift change reports and ensure smooth transitions between shifts. Respond promptly to emergencies and urgent resident needs. Review and document incidents, changes in condition, and ensure appropriate follow-up. Assist in staff scheduling, delegation, and resolution of staffing concerns as necessary. Uphold infection control, safety, and confidentiality standards at all times. Qualifications: Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of North Carolina, in good standing. Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing facility preferred. Supervisory or charge nurse experience strongly preferred. CPR certification required. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with professionalism and empathy.
