Lead Trailer Technician

The Lead Trailer Tech is responsible for diagnosing and repairing malfunctions/damage to trailers. The position is also responsible for supervising Trailer Mechanics while ensuring productivity and quality assurance on all repairs done within the trailer shop. Due to the nature of the essential job functions of this role, this is a safety sensitive position.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONSThe job functions listed below represent the essential job duties and responsibilities of the above-listed position.• Diagnose and perform repairs on trailer units.• Supervise trailer mechanic staff and disseminate work orders for completion.• Open and close work orders in AS 400.• Bill out parts in AS 400 for accounting purposes.• Fill out production paperwork on a daily basis.• Check loaded TCU's for proper functioning.• Timely and regular attendance according to the scheduled shift as determined by supervisory personnel.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIESThe requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
