JOB DESCRIPTION Salary: $30 - $35 per hour and $3,600 annual bonus paid out monthlyThe Behavior Specialist is a trained individual who provides clinical and case management to behavior technicians and clients/families under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). The Behavior Specialist provides midlevel supervision when allowed by the payer source. The Behavior Specialist is accountable to all federal, state and local contracts, programs, and Maxim requirements. The Behavior Specialist supports onboarding, orientation, and ongoing evaluation of behavioral direct care staff (. behavior technicians and intensive behavior support providers). Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Develops goals, programs, materials, and behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a BCBAOversees the work of Behavior Technicians as assigned by Clinical Supervisor (BCBA) or Operations LeaderConducts face-to-face case and Behavior Technician supervision for assigned caseloadAssists Clinical Supervisor (BCBA) in behavioral and skill acquisition assessmentsTrains Behavior Technicians in implementation of behavior change plans including behavior intervention plans and skill acquisition goals.Trains families, caregivers, and school staff in implementation of behavior change plans including behavior intervention plans and skill acquisition goals.Assists Clinical Supervisor (BCBA) in updating behavior change plans including current progress on behavior goals and skill acquisition goalsMonitors progress and treatment effectiveness of behavioral programs under the supervision of the Clinical Supervisor (BCBA)Conducts clinical interviews and participates in hiring decisions in collaboration with Clinical Manager-Behavioral or other office clinical leaderFacilitates the orientation process, competency and skills validation process for behavioral direct care staffMay conduct skill enhancement training for behavioral caregiversProvides behavioral services to children with autism or other behavioral disorders as outlined in the behavioral change planParticipates in office and clinical quality initiative activitiesAccountable to all federal, state, local contracts and programs, and Maxim requirementsPerforms other duties as assignedMinimum Requirements:Must meet at least one of the following educational requirements: A master's degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Education, or similar degree when allowed by state or program.Bachelor’s degree and BCaBA (Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst)Licensed Assistant Behavior Analyst, when applicable by stateAt least one year of experience providing behavioral services to children with autism or other related disordersAt least one year of experience in providing behavior analytic services in home, school, or community settingsAt least be enrolled in approved BACB courses and preparing for BCBA examAbility to effectively communicate with appropriate individuals (including, but no limited to co-workers, supervisors, clients)Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Teams, requiredCurrent CPR/BLS certification At least 18 years of ageExcellent communication skillsProficiency in the English language required Maxim Benefits: Health and Wellness Medical/Prescription, Dental, Vision, Health Advocacy (company paid if enrolled Medical) and Health Advocate Employee Assistance Program Retirement and Financial Security: Employee Assistance Program, Health Savings Account, 401(k) + Company Match, Profit Sharing, Short and Long Term Disability, Primary Caregiver Leave, Parental Leave, Life and Basic Accidental Death & Dismemberment Insurance, Voluntary Group Life Insurance and Supplemental Accidental Insurance, Hospital Expense Protection Plan, Critical Illness Insurance, Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account, Home and Auto Insurance discounts, Pet Insurance and Legal benefits Lifestyle Benefits: Paid Time Off and Company Paid Holidays, Transportation Benefits, Educational Assistance Program, College Partnership Program and Employee Discount Program *Benefit eligibility is dependent on employment status.
