POSITION SUMMARY: Penske Logistics is looking for Material Control Analysts to become part of an excellent team. This is a great opportunity for individuals who are self-motivated, with strong analytical and computer skills, customer-centric, and safety conscious. This position coordinates all processes and functions of a department and provides visibility to management by tracking, process over-sight, auditing, researching and troubleshooting operational issues or functions. SHIFT: We have 2 different shifts below we are looking to fill Monday thru Friday 7:00pm - 3:00am Friday thru Saturday 6:00am - 4:00pm & Sun thru Monday 6:00pm - 4:00am _shift flexibility is required to meet customer demand_ MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: u2022 Use computer to enter records and generate reports u2022 Weigh or count items for distribution within plant to ensure conformance to company standards (as applicable) u2022 Read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments u2022 Complete daily logs u2022 Proactively seeks opportunities to improve customeru2019s inventory and material flow processes u2022 Work with customer to resolve stock shortages u2022 Identify cost savings opportunities for the customer u2022 Track shipments to ensure shipment deadlines are met. u2022 Work with suppliers to correct part/shipment issues u2022 Follow daily parts control function, including track and trace, production schedule analysis, and exception management u2022 Follow processes that are set by engineering and assist with the implementation of any process and transportation design changes u2022 Provide parts follow up ensuring optimal material flow u2022 Handle reoccurring analysis and tasks driving continuous cost savings initiatives u2022 Examine current processes and implement or recommend improvements to drive out waste u2022 Meet customer deadlines and develop metrics dashboards that highlight customer specific analytics u2022 Use discretion and independent judgment to answer customer requests and propose solutions u2022 Develop and assist with presenting customer analytics, key trends and solution proposals during customer QBRu2019s u2022 Other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor QUALIFICATIONS: u2022 1-3 years inventory/auditing/transportation experience preferred. u2022 High school diploma or equivalent required u2022 Some college, preferred u2022 Fundamental understanding of transportation, supply chain and logistics concepts u2022 Strong problem solving and time management skills required u2022 Strong verbal and written communication skills u2022 Ability to work independently and multi task u2022 Ability to follows process and standard procedures u2022 Experience analyzing large sets of data u2022 Advanced computer skills including Excel and Outlook required u2022 Must also be able to learn and regularly operate multiple company and customer owned Warehouse Management System (WMS) platforms u2022 Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job u2022 Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening are required.
