Systems Engineer

Description Key Responsibilities: u2022 Serve as the primary technical lead for assigned clients, owning the client relationship and their IT environment. u2022 Design, configure, and maintain infrastructure components, including servers, networks, firewalls, and backup systems. u2022 Implement and support cloud services such as Azure, M365, and SharePoint. u2022 Perform server migrations, virtualization deployments, and network upgrades (on-prem and cloud). u2022 Provide Tier 2/3 support and mentorship to Helpdesk and NOC teams. u2022 Conduct proactive maintenance and infrastructure health checks. u2022 Guide clients through cybersecurity improvements including MFA, endpoint protection, DR/BC strategies, and regulatory compliance (HIPAA, PCI, CMMC, etc.). u2022 Participate in Strategic Business Reviews with Account Executives and translate business needs into technical solutions. u2022 Stay current on emerging technologies, be a champion for internal ITSM/ITIL practices and contribute to a culture of continuous learning. ________________________________________ Required Qualifications: u2022 4+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, preferably in an MSP or consulting environment. u2022 Strong technical proficiency in: o Windows Server/Desktop (2019+) o Microsoft 365, Azure, SharePoint o Firewalls, VLANs, VPNs, switching (Meraki/Cisco) o Backup and DR platforms (Veeam, Datto, ArcServe) o Endpoint security (SentinelOne, CrowdStrike, Microsoft Defender P2) u2022 Hands-on experience with virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V). u2022 Expert understanding of ITSM/ITIL processes and methodology and incident/change management. u2022 Proficiency working with tools such as DUO, Meraki, StarWind, Supermicro, and Datto. u2022 Excellent documentation, time management, and client communication skills. u2022 Deep curiosity that leads to positive business outcomes for both clients and SSR. u2022 Servant-based, positive attitude toward solving client issues with a genuine desire to help.
