Payroll Specialist

Description We are looking for an experienced Payroll Specialist to join a team in Newark, Delaware. In this role, you will ensure accurate and compliant payroll processing for a large workforce while supporting benefits administration and adhering to multi-state regulations. This is a Contract position that offers an opportunity to contribute to a dynamic and detail-oriented environment. Responsibilities: u2022 Process full-cycle payroll for over 500 employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. u2022 Handle multi-state payroll operations, addressing specific requirements for various jurisdictions. u2022 Maintain and update employee payroll records in systems such as ADP Workforce Now or similar platforms. u2022 Reconcile payroll data and resolve discrepancies to ensure precise reporting. u2022 Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to manage benefits administration. u2022 Generate and distribute payroll reports, supporting audits and compliance reviews. u2022 Ensure adherence to confidentiality standards in managing sensitive employee data. u2022 Assist with tax filings and deductions, ensuring alignment with applicable laws. u2022 Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll and benefits in a timely manner. u2022 Stay informed about changes in payroll laws and regulations to maintain compliance. Requirements u2022 High school diploma required; associate or bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or human resources preferred. u2022 Minimum of 3u20135 years of experience in payroll, benefits administration, or accounting. u2022 Knowledge of payroll laws and compliance regulations, including multi-state payroll. u2022 Proficiency in payroll systems such as ADP Workforce Now, Workday, or Paycom. u2022 Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including data reconciliation. u2022 Strong attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information. u2022 Excellent organizational and planning skills to manage multiple tasks effectively. u2022 Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.
