Description We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized receptionist to join our team in Forest Hills, New York. This is a long-term contract position, ideal for someone with strong communication skills and experience managing multi-line phone systems. The role requires availability on Fridays and offers an opportunity to contribute to the operations of a respected non-profit organization. Responsibilities: u2022 Answer and direct inbound calls using a multi-line phone system efficiently. u2022 Provide friendly and attentive customer service to visitors and callers. u2022 Manage a switchboard with 1-10 phone lines, ensuring smooth call handling. u2022 Maintain a welcoming and organized reception area. u2022 Assist with administrative tasks such as scheduling, filing, and data entry. u2022 Collaborate with team members to support daily operations. u2022 Handle inquiries and provide accurate information about the organization. u2022 Ensure all communication is handled promptly and with attention to detail. Requirements u2022 Minimum of 1 year of experience as a receptionist or in a similar role. u2022 Proficiency in handling multi-line phone systems and switchboards. u2022 Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. u2022 Excellent verbal and written communication abilities. u2022 Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a busy environment. u2022 Customer service experience with a focus on being detail oriented. u2022 Familiarity with basic office software and administrative tools.
