This role works directly with professional advisorsu00a0and firmsu00a0looking for resources andu00a0expertiseu00a0for their clients.u00a0This roleu00a0serves as theu00a0lead staff person for the SFF Professional Advisors Council and the Emerging Advisors Network, andu00a0plans and executesu00a0outreach events and activities for the larger advisor community.u00a0Thisu00a0role is central to our efforts to encourage philanthropy in the Bay Area, and to advance our commitment to equity in the region.u00a0 Boundariesu00a0 The Associate Director is a member of the Gift Planningu00a0team, which is part of the larger Philanthropy and Gift Planning (PGP) Department.u00a0This role focusesu00a0mainly onu00a0engaging with external constituents, including investment managers, attorneys, tax professionals, family offices, and other wealth advisors.u00a0 Authorityu00a0 The Associate Director of Professional Advisor Relationsu00a0is au00a0member of the Philanthropy and Gift Planning Department and reports to the Senior Director of Gift Planning.u00a0This position isu00a0primarily responsible for engaging withu00a0external stakeholdersu00a0andu00a0relies upon the collaboration of all other foundation departments tou00a0accomplishu00a0its goals.u00a0 Roleu00a0 + Leads strategy development and implementation of outreach efforts designed to build andu00a0maintainu00a0a strong prospect/donor referral network from professional advisors.u00a0 + Supports the development and growth of partnerships with advisorsu00a0and clients/donorsu00a0who value being part of a generous community of changemakers in the Bay Area.u00a0 + Createsu00a0and executesu00a0a professional advisors engagement plan that will generate new client referrals, charitable funds, planned gift intentions, and outright gifts tou00a0SFF.u00a0 + Builds, expands, and deepensu00a0awareness of SFF and our philanthropic products and services within the Bay Area professional advisor communityu00a0through multiple forms of communication, including 1:1 intro meetings, firm presentations,u00a0sponsorship,u00a0and membership opportunities, SFF newsletters, social media posts.u00a0 + Identifiesu00a0andu00a0establishesu00a0new relationships with advisors and firms who serve UHNW and HNW individuals, families, and businesses.u00a0 + Develops and implementsu00a0strategiesu00a0to diversify advisoru00a0rosteru00a0and attract new business from advisors and clients of color.u00a0 + Managesu00a0and engagesu00a0SFFu2019s Professional Advisors Council, through quarterly meetings andu00a0otheru00a0events.u00a0 + Creates, oversees, and evaluatesu00a0the activities of the Emerging Advisors Network, including the annual philanthropy workshop.u00a0 Tasksu00a0 + Collaborates with the Senior Director of Gift Planning andu00a0the Planned Giving Officeru00a0on building andu00a0strengtheningu00a0advisor relationships.u00a0 + Identifiesu00a0and implements innovative strategies, platforms and technical tools that enable SFF to diversify our donor based and reach a broader network of advisors.u00a0 + Collaborates to develop and implement reporting and evaluation processes for the role.u00a0 + Tracks, measures, andu00a0demonstratesu00a0financial value of professional advisor relations.u00a0 + Collaborates across PGP and the Foundation to understand and articulate SFFu2019s value proposition to donors and advisors.u00a0 + Representsu00a0SFF at advisor meetings, continuing education seminars, and networking opportunities.u00a0 + Provides strategic direction and implementation for SFF-hosted events and training that relates to professional advisor engagement.u00a0 + Maintainsu00a0ongoing communications with the existing network of advisors, includingu00a0the advisor newsletter andu00a0mass communications and one-on-one interactions that support the overall strategy.u00a0 + Creates, oversees, and evaluatesu00a0the activities of the Emerging Advisors Network, includingu00a0the annualu00a0philanthropy workshop.u00a0 + Plansu00a0and coordinatesu00a0the annual Spring luncheon, with the collaboration of the Marketing Communications Department and other internal support.u00a0 + Documentsu00a0all external interactions in a complete andu00a0timelyu00a0manneru00a0in CRM.u00a0 + Maintainsu00a0up-to-date knowledge of SFF programs and priorities.u00a0 + Maintainsu00a0up-to-date knowledge of gift planning vehicles, currentu00a0events, and regulatory/legislative/tax policy issues in philanthropy.u00a0 Competencies & Qualificationsu00a0 + 5-7u00a0yearsu00a0of related experienceu00a0 + Related experience in wealth management, estate planning, accounting, professional service sales, communityu00a0foundation,u00a0or nonprofit planned giving/developmentu00a0 + Bacheloru2019s degree preferred, or equivalent and relevant experience preferred.u00a0 + Provenu00a0track recordu00a0in new business development, charitable gift planning, nonprofitu00a0fundraising,u00a0or other relationship-based professionu00a0 + Ability to understand and communicate finance, accounting, and investment strategies to a wide range of audiences, including donors and professionalu00a0advisorsu00a0 + Successfulu00a0track recordu00a0in the identification, cultivation, and solicitation of donors, clients, and/or high net worth individualsu00a0 + Ability to adjust the case for support depending on the variety of advisor-related interests andu00a0incentivesu00a0 + Willingness to meet with advisorsu00a0in personu00a0in a
