This will include PVC, Rigid, EMT. Able to perform job in a timely, professional, and safely manner.Essential Functions:Reasonable accommodations will be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Responsible for company provided vehicle, trailer, tools, equipment and suppliesDig trenches or running underground electrical pipe (conduit)Load / unload equipment and materialPull wire and install electrical servicesLearn how to bend and install conduitClean up at the end of the daySet pole and meter basesSet and wire in cabinetsSet concrete foundations for cabinetsShoveling and raking dirt and gravelPick up trash on site dailyTake pictures of final work and provide all turnover documentationMust be able to climb roof tops of all types and to perform job duties from high places.Must be able to pull own body weight plus equipment weight up roofs and vertical tower repeatedlyFrequently required to stand, walk, stoop, sit, and climb ladders and communication towers and work in an elevated positionFrequently required to use hand and power toolsMust have the ability to climb extended heights upwards of 200 feetOther duties as assignedSkills:Work with basic hand toolsAbility to lift/pull heavy equipmentGood organizational skills and ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and writtenComfortable working outdoors in the elements while working with a great teamAbility to climb extended heights upwards of 200 feet is a plus but not requiredMust pass a drug screening test and a criminal background check.Proven ability to operate excavation equipment is a plus but not a requirementMust have a valid drivers license with a safe/acceptable driving record in compliance with company policyMust be comfortable in a rapidly changing environment and adapts easily to changeAbility to work in a team environment and collaborative in styleExcellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skillsProfessionalism and ability to work with other department managers and supervisorsStrong analytical skills, attention to detail and the ability to interpret reports and metricsAbility to use initiative and work efficiently with minimal supervisionEducation and Experience: High school diploma or GED equivalent required.Job Classification:Field Operations: ElectricalNon-ExemptWork Environment/Hazards:Working in outdoor elements such as cold, hot, precipitation and windIn proximity of heavy machinery and moving vehiclesModerate noise levelUse of PPEWorking in elevated places such as towersWorking around and with electricityPhysical Demands: Stationary position for 8-10 hours a dayFrequently moving, transporting, positioning objects of 50 pounds or moreAscending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffoldings, ramps, poles and the like, using feet and legs and/or hands and arms.Working Hours/Days: Monday through FridayPossible weekendsFlexible scheduleOvertime as neededTravel Requirements:50%Overnight travelAffirmative Action (AAP/EEO Statement):Nextlink is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
