Job DescriptionJob DescriptionJob DescriptionJOB DETAILSPay starts at $29-$35 per hour plus $1 per an hour shift differential 2nd Shift: 3:30pm-2amDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESThe Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing preventive maintenance, repair maintenance, and adjustments on equipment, buildings, and grounds, in a timely and cost-effective manner.Reviews equipment records to perform preventative maintenance according to schedulePerforms or directs trouble shooting as neededParticipates in the installation, repair, and removal of production line equipment as neededConsults with machinery manufacturers as neededReviews daily maintenance schedule to plan work for the shift to encourage the efficient utilization of equipment and facilities within cost guidelines.Performs repair and preventative maintenance on equipment, buildings, and groundsWork includes controls, electrical, pneumatics, carpentry, light welding, and plumbingPerforms all functions according to sound safety principles and company policies and proceduresAnticipates and determines causes of delays, or machine malfunctions, in operations, and takes appropriate action to meet deadlinesCommunicates with Supervisors, Plant Manager, Scheduler, and Maintenance Staff as necessary about potential concernsUnderstands all procedures and processes for the department and assist with the training of personnelAttend training, both on and off site, to maintain technical knowledgeReviews and maintains spare parts inventory, orders parts, and supplies as neededMaintains good housekeeping in the departmentCompletes all necessary paperwork and documentation neatly, timely, and accurately including; maintenance reports and repair logs, utilizing CMMS software to track down time, and labor and parts cost by each piece of equipmentResponsible for department quality and takes corrective action as needed to ensure quality is metAids the production operations by working as a fabricator or programmer as neededSupports production lines as neededCommunicates and supports company goals and objectivesAll other duties as assignedQualificationsCompletion of High school diploma or GED, plus up to two years of formal education, or three years experienceTwo years previous maintenance/troubleshooting with education.Three years experience without formal educationMust have a valid MA Drivers LicenseAbility to read blueprints and schematicsAbility to multi taskMechanical abilityProblem solving skillsAbility to work with minimal supervisionAbility to work with and train othersKnowledge of PLCs and control systemsFabrication experience a plusAdditional InformationSite Address: 7 Ledgewood Blvd, Dartmouth, MA 02747Why work for Cornerstone Building Brands?Our teams are at the heart of our purpose to positively contribute to the communities where we live, work and play.
