Job DescriptionJob DescriptionQUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience as a pharmacy assistant or in a similar role is preferred. Must pass KBI, DCF child & adult abuse registry, motor vehicle screen, and background checks. Must have reliable and insured transportation.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:High school diploma or equivalent.Pharmacy Technician certification or license.Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology and drug names.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment.Proficient computer literacy and experience with pharmacy management systems.Knowledge of insurance billing processes and third-party prescription plans.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications to patients.Measure medications accurately and ensure proper labeling of prescriptions.Prepare prescription orders under the supervision of a pharmacist.Maintain patient records and update information as required.Manage inventory and ensure adequate stock of medications and supplies.Adhere to pharmacy regulations and policies to ensure compliance.Provide excellent customer service and address patient inquiries or concerns.Assist in the billing and processing of insurance claims.Process prescriptions accurately and efficiently, ensuring all necessary information and authorizations are obtainedPrepare and package medications for dispensing, ensuring proper labeling and instructions are providedPerform other duties as assigned by Supervisor or the Chief Executive Officer.Monday-Friday 9:00 am - 5:30 pm
