Job DescriptionJob DescriptionWarden Community Church (Warden, WA) - PastorThe Big PictureWarden Community Church () is searching for a full-time Pastor. As spiritual leader of the congregation, the pastor shall have charge in the spiritual welfare of the church with the assistance of the Deacons, shall seek to enlist followers of Christ,preach the gospel, administer the sacrament, have responsibility for all services of public worship. The pastor shall participate in: Leadership of Sunday worship, administration of the sacraments, and special services as needed. Counseling and/or referral in crisis situations.Serve as lead teacher and resource for the Confirmation program. Visitation of hospitalizedand shut-in members, and similar pastoral calls. Provide pastoral services for weddings andfunerals. attending and resourcing meetings of the Cabinet of the church each month, plusother groups as requested. Provide leadership for adult education and Bible study groups.Maintain a cooperative relationship with local or regional fellowships and with thedenomination.RequirementsThe CandidatePrefer a pastor to have gone through formal education, seminary and ordination. Willbe open to to a pastor who has followed other pathways to their ministry.The Community We are a smaller rural community in a primarily agricultural setting. The communityis very supportive of the church and school. The school is PK-12 in a single campussetting with about 950 students. We are located in the desert area of Washington. Ourclimate has all four seasons and we have many recreational activities nearby; fishing,hunting, camping, skiing, ORV park, hiking, etc. We are located about 20 miles southof Moses Lake who has modern medical and hospital facilities. We are also about 60miles north of the Tri-Cities with a large shopping mall, Costco, etc.Theological Position of the ChurchAcknowledging Jesus Christ to be our Savior and Lord, and accepting the HolyScriptures as our rule of faith and practice, and recognizing the privilege and duty ofuniting ourselves for Christian fellowship, the enjoyment of Christian ordinances, thepublic worship of God, and the advancement of His kingdom in the world, we do now,in the sight of God and invoking his blessing, solemnly covenant and agree with eachother to associate ourselves to be a church of the Lord Jesus Christ, as warranted bythe Word of God. We agree to maintain the institutions of the Gospel, to submit ourselves to theorderly administration of the affairs of the church, and to walk together in brotherlylove. We agree to support the church with gifts of time, talent, and treasure.
