Job DescriptionJob DescriptionDescription:(Non-Exempt)Job SummaryTo lead workers to work within customers specifications in the manufacturing area. To maintain an open line of communication between employees and management.Duties/ResponsibilitiesSupport production activities while looking for ways to improve production processes.Assign jobs to move efficiently through the department to ensure customer satisfaction.Evaluate workers performance and make recommendations as needed. Address workmanship concerns in a timely manner. Promote good working relationships with employees. Notify supervisor and/or manufacturing manager of any delays that effect on-time delivery or situations that increase costs to building the product.Train operators on all phases of the jobs and motivate them to work at full potential.Log times and move tickets into the computer on a timely basis. Monitor times on the job operations and operator productivity level.Interact with customers on product concerns and delivery schedules as required.Train, maintain, and enforce safety policies and procedures, and report injuries or potential safety problems to the supervisor or manufacturing manager. Contributes to maintaining a safe work environment by following safety policies and procedure, reporting any safety concerns, and participating in any scheduled stretch breaks.Actively participates in quality efforts and support the Virtex Quality Policy through accountable action.Responsible for compliance to the Virtex Quality Management System and other regulatory and statutory requirements as required by the customer.Act as an authorized agent to stop production when nonconformances are noted.Accountable for accepting responsibility for continuous on the job training by actively participating in training put on by designated Virtex employees and/or any outside service.Education/ExperienceHigh School diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred, or 1-2 years related work experience.3 to 5 years electronics manufacturing or production experience preferred.Basic PS skillsRequirements:Required Skills/AbilitiesDue to ITAR Restrictions, US Citizenship or green card is required.Reading and understanding of technical documents such as blueprints, bills of material, workmanship standards and equipment procedures. Involves problem solving, confidentiality, basic math skills, written and verbal communication, customer contact and attention to detail.Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work effectively as a team player and leader.Time management: the ability to organize and manage multiple priorities unsupervised.Attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Prolonged periods of sitting or standing.Must have good eyesight, as well as the ability to adjust focus.Flexibility to work extra hours when needed, including weekends.
