Pride, Grit, & Own It!Position Available: General Superintendent - Heavy & CivilR-2 Contractors is looking for a dedicated and experienced Heavy Civil General Superintendent to join our team. This exciting opportunity requires willingness to travel up to 100% as needed to and from different job sites out of state.Responsibilities:Make changes in the operation as necessary to best meet construction deadlinesImplement management techniques that are cost-effective and efficientMaintain an in-depth understanding of local, state, and federal construction regulationsDemonstrate strong organizational skills, including time management, delegation, prioritization, and multitaskingAct as a liaison between project management and field leadersConduct job site evaluationsUphold and hold others accountable to the Company Core ValuesProvide team member coaching and guidance as neededEnsure company policies and procedures are followed in the fieldCollaboratively assign/schedule employees to projectsSource and procure specialty materials or equipmentAssess manpower and equipment needs from the fieldRelay union agreements and limitations to field leadersStep in and help get projects across the finish lineManage material lists and project take-offSupport and collaborate with project managementIdentify possible areas for savings - crew, equipment, execution, and materialsBuild and maintain relationships with vendors, clients, and internal team membersManage owner relationsRequirements:Proven experience in heavy civil constructionSkilled understanding of earthwork in all weather conditionsExperience operating 400-class excavators, D8 and larger dozers, rock trucks, etc.Proven experience supervising and directing successful heavy civil construction projectsPrevious experience in a Superintendent roleProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel and WordExperience with or willingness to be trained on HCSS Software (HeavyJob, HeavyBid, Telematics)Experience with or willingness to be trained on Microsoft ProjectStrong team player, flexible, and willing to take on multiple duties as neededDetail-oriented, organized, and self-drivenExcellent verbal and written communication skillsMust be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and have a driving record acceptable to the companys insurance carrierAbility to work long hours and in varying conditionsProvide five professional referencesJob Type:Full-timeSalary: $175,000 - $220,000 DOEBenefits:Paid Time Off (PTO) / Sick LeaveMedical, Dental, and Vision Insurance (coverage for the entire family)401(k) with company match5-Year Employment Appreciation BonusCompany vehicle providedWork Schedule:Monday to Friday, with flexibility as required by project needsWork Location:In-personReady to Join Our Team?If you're ready to bring your expertise and passion for construction to a growing company, apply today and be part of a team that values quality, integrity, and precision in every project!Powered by JazzHRbP2NVpdl0C
