As a Housekeeper, you will ensure a clean, sanitized, and welcoming environment for our patients, visitors, and staff.In this role, you wont just be cleaning; you will help create a healing space and contribute to the overall patient experience. Everyday tasks will include:Cleaning patient areas daily, sweeping, mopping, dusting, sanitizing bathrooms and showers, and taking care of trash cans.Ensuring our entrances are spotless and inviting by picking up litter and emptying trash bins.Keeping utility and storage rooms organized and neat.Distributing freshly laundered articles and linens to provide comfort to our patients.Disinfecting areas through scrubbing and spraying to maintain a safe environment.Dust mopping and wet mopping hospital hallways, waiting rooms, offices, and entrances each day.Emptying wastebaskets and relining them for continued cleanliness.Cleaning rugs, carpets, and upholstered furniture.Polishing metalwork and dusting furniture to keep the hospital looking its best.Wiping down walls, woodwork, windows, doors, and window sills, climbing ladders safely as necessary.Transporting waste to disposal areas efficiently.Replenishing bathroom supplies to ensure facilities are well-equipped for patients and visitors.Carefully using chemicals and cleaning solutions, and preparing necessary labels.Reporting unusual problems or faulty equipment so we can address them promptly.Replenishing supplies on your work cart as needed.Disinfecting cleaning equipment at the end of each day to uphold our high standards of hygiene.Helping to move furniture and equipment as directed.Taking part in a rotating call, as assigned.Your work will be vital to our dedication to quality healthcare, embodying the compassion and dignity we seek to provide every day!RequirementsWhat Youll Need:Availability for PRN shifts (as needed).Willingness to work day shifts.Flexibility to cover some weekends, holidays, and take call as required.Preferred: Six (6) months of related housekeeping experience.BenefitsEMPLOYEE BENEFITSBecause work and personal challenges can affect every aspect of life, YCH automatically provides you and your family with an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) at no cost to you.Bonus Incentive ProgramThe Hospital sponsors a 403(b) plan for PRN employees.YCH is a drug/smoke free workplace.
