This facility is a 57 bed skilled/nursing care facility that offers short or long term care, respite care, and has a Veteran's care contract. The facility also has a 12 unit assisted living attached, provides inpatient and outpatient therapy services, and has a physician's office on campus. Job DescriptionAs a dietary aide on our team, youll take pride in assisting our cooks, serving and maintaining the cleanliness of our dining room and kitchen to help keep our residents happy and healthy. Integrity and attention to detail are also two must-have tools that you keep in your bag of tricks.By helping us create a clean, safe, and orderly food service department for our residents, youll pave the way to more opportunities for yourself at Thomas Rest Haven!Job ResponsibilitiesMaintains friendly, efficient, positive customer service toward residents, guests, and co-workers. Is adaptable to customer needs.Provides meal prep assistance to the cook and food service to the residents, guests and staff.Maintains all assigned duties in a clean neat and sanitary manner, to protect safety and health of others and in compliance with accurate preventative procedures as outlined in department policy.Demonstrates efficient and safe use of assigned kitchen equipment.Ensures the disinfection of equipment and supplies.Diligently employs world class customer service to our residents, guests and staff.Promotes effective interpersonal and interdisciplinary relationships, always maintains professional conduct.Demonstrates commitment to professional growth and competence by adherence to Iowa Health Care Association and departmental training commitments.At Thomas Rest Haven, developing new skills and doing what it takes to get the job done will make a positive impact for our residents, employees and for our visitors.
