If you enjoy being part of something special, then bring your energy and come grow with us!SUMMARYThe Receiving Associate plays a critical role in our supply chain operations by ensuring accurate and efficient receipt of incoming shipments. This position involves inspecting, documenting, and organizing materials and products received from suppliers. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSReceive incoming shipments of materials, supplies, and products in all Parsons Magnum locations.Verify the accuracy of deliveries by comparing received items to purchase orders and packing lists.Inspect materials for damage, defects, or discrepancies and report any issues to the appropriate personnel.Label, sort, and stage received items for storage or distribution.Enter receipt data into the inventory management system accurately and in a timely manner.Communicate effectively with suppliers, carriers, and internal stakeholders regarding shipment discrepancies or delays.Assist with unloading trucks, palletizing goods, and moving materials to designated storage areas using material handling equipment.Maintain a clean and organized receiving area, ensuring compliance with safety standards and company policies.Participate in inventory counts and reconciliation efforts as needed.Collaborate with other team members to optimize receiving processes and workflow efficiency.QUALIFICATIONSRequired:High School Diploma or GED1 Year Experience with Microsoft Office SuitePreferred:1 - 2 years of experience with ERP software.1 - 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.SKILLS REQUIREMENTSAbility to effectively communicate orally, written, and electronically with all levels of the organization.Must be detail oriented.Must have a strong sense of urgency and pride in completing all duties on-time and accurately.Ability to effectively use a computer keyboard.Ability to effectively use a telephone and other applicable electronic communication equipment.Must have the ability to view and read written documents as well as computer monitors.OTHERWork EnvironmentMay frequently work in temperatures above 100 degrees and below 60 degrees.May occasionally walk on slippery or uneven surfaces.May be required to access elevated surfaces either by stairs or ladder.Noise level in the work environment may require use of hearing protection.Physical RequirementsExtended periods of standing and/or sitting (up to 4 hours at a time)Lifting and Carrying up to 40 lbs.Travel RequirementsLocal travel only may be expected.Supervisory RequirementsNoneDISCLAIMERThis job description is not an exhaustive or comprehensive list of all possible job responsibilities, tasks, and duties.
