Job DescriptionJob DescriptionJOB Posting JOB TITLE: Housekeeping AssociateDEPARTMENT: Janitorial ServicesREPORTS TO: Director of Housekeeping or General ManagerPOSITION PURPOSE:The Housekeeping Associate is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of bathhouses, house boats, and/or cabins. The Housekeeping Associates primary responsibility is to create a clean and orderly environment for our guests that will become a critical factor in maintaining and strengthening our reputation. The Housekeeping Associate projects a professional company image through all types of interaction. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Perform a variety of cleaning activities such as sweeping, mopping, dusting and polishingCollect and dispose of trash, cleaning as quickly and effectively as possibleDeal with reasonable complaints/requests with professionalism and patienceMaintains awareness of safety issues and reports them immediately to supervisorEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:Excellent customer service skills - known as someone who goes above and beyondMust be able to maintain a calm, positive attitude during periods of high activityAbility to manage multiple project simultaneouslyAbility to work under pressureWORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Must be able to independently lift, carry, push, and pull up to thirty (30) poundsMust be able to swim or be willing to wear a personal flotation device in instances of emergencyMust be able to perform simple grasping, fine manipulation, and repetitive hand & arm movements frequently, and squeezing & overhead reaching occasionallyMust be able to work flexible hours based on the needs of the property to include weekends and holidays as needed.STATEMENT OF PURPOSEThis document provides descriptive information about the above Suntex Marinas position.
