Job DescriptionJob DescriptionSeeking an in home caregiver in Decorah for 6 hours per week.Monday/Tuesday/Friday 2 hrs per shift each morning. RESPONSIBILITIESHelp clients take prescribed medicationAssist clients with ambulation and mobility around the house or outside (doctors appointments, walks etc.)Assist clients with personal care and hygieneHelp clients complete physical therapy and other recommended exercisesDo the clients shopping or accompany them when they shop if neededPerform light housekeeping duties that clients cant complete on their own, including preparing mealsCollect information about conditions and treatment plans from caregivers, nurses, doctors and family membersReport any unusual incidents to nurses, doctors and family membersAct quickly and responsibly in cases of emergencyREQUIREMENTSPrevious caregiver experience preferred but not requiredCurrent CPR (American Heart Association) Certification (ability to get certified within 30 days)Willingness to adhere to health and safety standardsKnowledge of housekeeping activities and cooking with attention to dietary constraintsMust be respectful and compassionate with a good bedside mannerOutstanding communication, time management and interpersonal skillsPhysical endurance to complete required tasksHigh school diploma or equivalent
