Job DescriptionJob DescriptionTHIS POSITION IS ELIGIBLE FOR A SIGN-ON BONUS OF UP TO $6,000+ DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCEThe Enterprise Mobile Service Technician independently performs in-field advanced diagnostics, service repairs, and maintenance work on customer and/or dealer-owned agricultural equipment, by operating a mobile service vehicle and traveling to customer locations throughout our TNE area of responsibility. The Enterprise Mobile Service Technician is responsible for the effective repair of machinery and components at high levels of quality across all TNE locations.True North Equipment has been in business since 1949 and has 10 locations with over 200 employees. Most importantly, we want you to have fun working at TNE!Youll focus on:The first line of mobile service support to the True North Equipment customer basePerforming advanced diagnostics, repairs, reconditioning, and assembly on agricultural equipment and established technology infield and service department, using the lasted diagnostic technologies such as Service Advisor, as assigned by a supervisorParticipates in Service EDUCATE Training programs required for the development of skills and knowledgeYou are the face of True North Equipment to deliver a professional experience to the customer base and are known as a trusted technical advisorYou are a willing mentor of service technician traineesAvailable to support employee and customer training eventsMaintain current knowledge of John Deere and competitive productsMaintain condition of vehicles, inventory, tools, and equipmentYou will maintain a clean work area and perform work in a neat and orderly fashionFollow all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignmentsWork must be completed in a safe, professional, and timely mannerProvide timely completion of all repair orders, reports, and forms required in conjunction with work assignmentsYoure accountable for all time and all material used in performing assigned dutiesDocument machine information and repairs completed on work orders, including parts and fluids usedForklift experience and license preferred.Proactively seek and participate in available company-sponsored training, in an effort to develop and advance knowledge base and skill setParticipate in all company/location driver communication efforts, including open book meetings, huddles, department meetings, and other related effortsWhat we are looking for:You can perform advanced repairs and maintenance using special tools and equipment following technical manual procedures on machines of the technicians specialtyMust have 5+ years of experience performing diesel service repairsExcellent mechanical skillsStrong computer skillsExcellent customer service skillsAbility to assemble and perform maintenance functions on equipmentStrong oral and written communication skillsStrong organizational skillsAdvanced knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems used in the repair of agricultural and turf equipmentExcellent skills in operating vehicles and equipment used for diagnostic purposesYoure able to use Service Advisor and basic computer functionsCan lift at least 75 lbs. repeatedlyYou have advanced diesel service technician education preferred - Level 3You have a high school diploma or equivalent experience required; associates degree is preferredStrong work ethic to complete a task efficiently with minimal supervision. The individual will serve as an in-field representative for True North EquipmentCommunication skills are required to clearly articulate aspects of work being performed to a customer in a courteous and effective mannerIdentify and communicate solutions for customer service opportunities in areas of responsibilityAccountable for billable time and assigned work ordersResponsible for complete and thorough documentation of diagnostics and repairs performed on work orders and on-time submittal of informationHave a valid drivers license and clean MVRCandidates must have valid work authorization and be able to work in the U.S without company sponsorshipPerform all other duties as assigned by management in a safe, professional, and efficient mannerUnderstands and adheres to TNE customer data policies and procedures.Maintain a positive and professional working relationship with peers, management, and support resources.Ensure that the companys reputation and image in the community is consistent with TNE valuesMust have an adequate toolset to perform job responsibilitiesHigh school diploma or equivalent experienceThis role is classified as a safety-sensitive position. As such, the employee must undergo required drug testing.This individual must be able to perform quality work as efficiently and profitably as possible and work overtime and weekends on occasion.Normal hours worked are Mon-Fri 8am-5pm in our off-season.
