Job DescriptionJob DescriptionWe are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a highly skilled Procurement Manager to join our team in Fulton, New York. As a Procurement Manager, you will have the unique role of leading the procurement process for our entire organization, working closely with engineering and customers to ensure the best cost design for our products. You will also play a crucial role in the implementation of purchasing standards and best practices.Responsibilities Lead the procurement process, ensuring timely and cost-effective acquisition of machine shop commodities. Work closely with engineering and customers to design the most cost-effective products. Actively participate in tasks to support business growth, demonstrating a hands-on approach. Use advanced spreadsheet skills to analyze data, track inventory, and optimize procurement strategies. Travel as needed for supplier visits, and other business-related activities. Independently resolve procurement-related issues to minimize disruptions in production. Support the implementation of purchasing standards and best practices. Advise management on additional capabilities for improvement within the Supply Chain discipline. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a procurement management role or similar position Proficient in ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning and ERP Solutions Knowledgeable about 'About Time' software Experience with budget processes and buying processes Excellent customer service skills Ability to handle invoices efficiently Experience in global procurement activities Must be able to manage a wide range of procurement activities Proven experience in handling various procurement functions
