Job DescriptionJob DescriptionJob Title: PrepperJob DescriptionIn this position, you will be responsible for cleaning and prepping metal for the painter and the paint booth to ensure smooth operations. You will be washing, taping off parts, moving them in and out of the booth, and unmasking them when they are done. High attention to detail is required.ResponsibilitiesClean and prep metal for painting.Wash and tape off parts.Move parts in and out of the paint booth.Unmask parts after painting is completed.Maintain a high level of attention to detail.Essential Skills6+ months of previous painting or prepping experience.Proficiency in mechanical tasks.Ability to read blueprints.Experience with paint preparation, sandblasting, and sanding.Strong attention to detail.Mechanical aptitude.Experience using power tools.Additional Skills & QualificationsPrevious experience in painting or mixing.Why Work Here?Enjoy 90 hours of PTO from day one and a four-day work week with optional overtime on Fridays. Benefit from long-term government contracts that provide good job security.Work EnvironmentThis is a clean and well-lit facility that manufactures trailers for the military. The assembly area features tall ceilings and is divided into cells where trailers are assembled. The facility is heated in the winter but not air-conditioned in the summer, leading to warmer conditions. While some areas can be noisy due to air tools, the noise is not constant. The plant is divided into three areas: machining/fabrication, assembly, and the paint shop. Approximately 100 employees work here, all on the first shift. The typical work schedule is 6 AM to 4 PM, Monday to Thursday, with mandatory Fridays as needed, which currently means every Friday.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
