This would be with a food manufacturing company in Newberry, SC! Pay: $28-$33Shift: Hiring for M-F 1st or 2nd shift. 6am to 3pm or 3pm - 11pm. OT as needed. QualificationsBuilding SecurityPower Distribution SystemsWorking Knowledge of Common Industrial ComponentsAbility to read blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagramsAvailable for overtime work on a scheduled or call-in basis, as necessaryEducationMinimum Required: High School DiplomaMaintenance: 3 years (Required)Mechanical Knowledge: 3 years (Required)ResponsibilitiesThe position of Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for maximizing the uptime and effective throughput of plant processing equipment from receipt of raw ingredients, staging and through the palletizing and warehousing of finished productIdeal candidate for this position will have experience troubleshooting issues and maintaining typical food manufacturing equipmentThis is a very collaborative position that works extremely closely with the production department in order to help determine gaps in training as well as ideas in order to develop and maintain a culture of continuous improvement and teamworkPerforms maintenance in all areas of the plant on a scheduled or emergency basis as directed by work orders and/or direction from lead and/or maintenance manager:Mechanical/Electrical Repairs for processing equipment standard to the Food Processing IndustryMechanical Transfer Systems (Conveyor systems)Programmable Logic Control (PLC) Communication and Automation SystemsAbility to troubleshoot electrical systems, PLC programs, motor VFDs and other electronic systemsRespond urgently to unscheduled/emergency work orders through the use of CMMS systemConduct root cause of equipment failure and develop course of action to prevent future failures with direction from managementReceive direction and complete assigned work from Maintenance Lead and/or Maintenance ManagerDocument work completed in Maintenance CMMS SystemCoordinate directly with Production Department to coordinate maintenance and repair workHelp develop and implement the plant preventative maintenance programTroubleshoot issues with structured approach to minimize production impactCommunicate repair steps to production to increase working knowledge of the operatorParticipates in safety, health, and environmental programsHousekeeping duties to include sweeping, cleaning and sanitizing both work areas throughout the plant and maintenance shop area, as necessaryReport any food safety issue observed to any Management team memberReport any security breaches, attempts at product tampering or contamination, or other suspicious behavior observed to Manager or SupervisorWorks with contractors and assists with new installations and other projects, as necessaryComplete and comply with the Master Sanitation Schedule (MSS), Daily Routine List (DRL), HACCP procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Integrated Pest Management (IPM) ComplianceMaintain a food-safe sanitary environment at all timesProvide back-up support for other roles, as necessaryOther duties as assigned by the manager/plant managerBenefitsPay: From $28.00 - $33 per hourExpected hours: 40 - 45 per weekDental insuranceHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offReferral programVision insurance8 hour shiftOvertimeCompany DescriptionDirect Hire Partner with Manufactuing hiring Managers around middle Tennessee!Company DescriptionDirect Hire Partner with Manufactuing hiring Managers around middle Tennessee!
