CNC Machinist/Programmer

Job DescriptionJob Description---------------------------------------------------------- Job Overview : We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in machining and be proficient in operating CNC machines to produce high-quality parts and components. This role requires attention to detail, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.Duties : - Set up and operate CNC machines, ensuring precision and quality in all produced parts.- Interpret technical drawings and specifications to determine machining processes.- Utilize CAM programming software to create and modify machine programs.- Perform routine maintenance on machines and troubleshoot any issues that arise during production.- Employ precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and coordinate measuring machines (CMM) to verify part dimensions.- Implement lean manufacturing principles to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.- Collaborate with engineering teams to optimize machining processes and improve product designs using SolidWorks.- Apply GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) standards in the interpretation of engineering drawings.- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety protocols.- Programming of CNC machines- Create and optimize CNC programs for efficiency, accuracy, and tooling utilization- Collecting and analyzing data on tool performance and usage to identify areas for improvement- Create and modify PLC programs for production machines and facility equipment- Interpret technical blueprints and AutoCAD drawings and set up machines according to engineering specifications- Adjust machine settings to handle potential problems during operations- Collaborate with other team members to optimize production efficiency- PLC programmingQualifications : - Proven experience as a CNC Machinist with a strong understanding of machining processes.- Proficiency in CAM programming; experience with Fanuc controls is highly desirable.- Familiarity with lean manufacturing practices is preferred.- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.- Experience using precision measuring instruments including micrometers, calipers, and CMMs.- Knowledge of GD&T principles is a plus.- Basic welding skills are advantageous but not required.- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this role.- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.- Join us as we strive for excellence in manufacturing through innovation, quality craftsmanship, and teamwork!Job Type: Full-timeSchedule:- Day shiftAbility to Commute:- Winfield, AL 35594 (Required)Ability to Relocate:- Winfield, AL 35594.
