Job DescriptionJob DescriptionWe are looking for an experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our team on a contract basis in the greater Waterbury, Connecticut area. This role requires a strategic financial leader who can oversee key financial operations, ensure accuracy in reporting, and manage liquidity effectively. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in financial analysis and compliance,Responsibilities: Ensure year-end and opening balances are accurately recorded and reconciled. Oversee the organization's investment portfolio and manage brokerage operations. Monitor liquidity levels and ensure the organization maintains appropriate financial reserves. Prepare and submit payroll in a timely and accurate manner. Maintain complete and precise financial records while adhering to all accounting standards. Conduct in-depth financial analysis to support strategic decision-making. Create and review monthly financial statements for accuracy and compliance. Financial sector / service experience preferred Portico and or Wisdom software experience is a plus. Proven experience in financial leadership. Comprehensive knowledge of accounting software systems and tools. Strong expertise in financial audits and compliance. Solid background in payroll preparation and management. Ability to produce detailed financial analysis and reports. Proficiency in forecasting and financial modeling. Familiarity with Portico and Wisdom systems is advantageous. Excellent organizational and communication skills.
