Job DescriptionJob DescriptionThe Winnebago County Sheriffs Office is currently accepting applications for the position of Corrections Officer. The successful applicant will perform the duties and responsibilities of a Corrections Officer. Starting wages are $26.46/hour (current 1/1/2025). Shift schedules are 12 hour days, in a rotating 2 week schedule. Officers work 15 days a month with this cycle.Probationary officers will be assigned to a day shift (6am-6pm) or night shift (6pm-6am) based on operational needs. After probation, officers can bid on shifts based on seniority.
