This position is exposed to multiple refrigerated areas. And support to inspect all inbound raw produce loads at cooling facilities. The candidate in this position must be self-motivated, problem solver with excellent communication skills and strong intrapersonal skills. Must be able to work unsupervised.What you will Do:Raw product inspectionSampling raw product for inspectionConduct checks Oxygen levels in sealed bins of C&C Iceberg lettuce and Trim RomaineConduct temperature checks of raw product as necessaryConduct color ration evaluation of Raw romaineEnter results of evaluation into Paperless data systemCompletion of Supplier Notification formsComplete daily inspection reports into Ready BFA data Management System (Paperless)Communicate with Ready Pac field personnel on raw quality issuesCommunicate with Ready Pac processing facilities on raw quality issuesCommunicate with raw suppliers on quality issues related to inspection at the coolerCommunicate with cooler personnel on raw inspection or cooling process issues.Issue daily inspection report to all RP processing facilities.Follow BFA food safety, and safety policies as applicable to the cooler operation.Conduct other duties related to raw quality, as assigned by the department manager.Minimum Qualifications:Post Harvest inspection experience is desired.Good computer skills (familiar with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, Microsoft Word, Paperless).Good written and oral skillsFamiliar with Fresh Cut processingFamiliar with USDA inspection standardsFamiliar with raw inspection proceduresBilingual (English/Spanish) is desired.Must be able to work in cold environmentMust be able to lift 50 lbs.Must be able to work in a high pace environmentAbility to work independently, unsupervised and in a team environment.Must be able to monitor product/process to identify and address any non-compliancePhysical Work Environment / Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the associate will be required to perform repetitive movements (i.e., scooping condiments into salad bowls). The associate regularly works near moving mechanical parts and is regularly exposed to extreme cold. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.Ability to move about within a fast-paced environment in/outside facility, and traverse between the maintenance shop & production floor.Ability to position self to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawlAbility to frequently move, push, or carry items up to 50lbsExposed to a cold & wet environment of 34 degrees. Ability to work in outdoor weather conditionsMust be able to exchange accurate information through frequent communications within all levels of the organizationMust be able to detect, identify, inspect, observe, and assess surroundings
