Job DescriptionJob DescriptionDescription:Duties/Responsibilities:Inspects and identifies systems in need of repair and executes repairs on the following:Equipment (shipping carts, electric utility vehicles, hilo, chemical sprayers)Machines (conveyors, production equipment)Mechanical systems (heating, ventilation, air compressor, shade systems, bug screens)Structures Irrigation installation and service (irrigation booms, sprinkling systems, fertigation systems)Additional responsibilities:Troubleshoots issues to determine necessary repairsPlans repair work using buildings blueprints or equipment manual and maintains repair logsCleans and assists with upkeep of the facilitiesOrders supplies and materials needed for repairs and maintenancePerforms other related duties as assignedCarries out OSHA and MIOSHA safety rules and procedures that pertain to the facility and staffOn call for emergencies outside of normal business hours and occasionally is required to travel off-siteOperates the tractor and forklift and learns their implementsRequirements:Education and Experience:High school diploma or equivalent requiredOn-the-job training offered including forklift certification1-3 years of greenhouse experience or equivalent work experience in maintenance, construction or plumbing Basic torch, welding and fabrication skills are a plusMust be able to operate a variety of power tools and equipmentProlonged periods standing and walkingMust be mechanically inclined and have persistence in problem solvingRequired Skills/Abilities:Ability to follow instructions from supervisors or senior managementAbility to use hand tools and power toolsExcellent organizational and time management skillsAble to oversee and execute multiple long-term and short-term tasks and projectsEnjoys indoor and outdoor workFocus on preventative maintenance of facility and equipmentStrong communication skillsValid Driver's License requiredProficiency in Microsoft office suite and work with computer based environmental controls Must be physically able to climb ladders, bend, or crawl into awkward spacesMust be able to climb and perform tasks on ladders or roof (20-25ft) Must be able to lift 50 pounds and carry short distance Must be able to drive between locations and navigate all areas of multiple locationsMust be able to speak/listen on the telephone and hear buzzers, horns and alarmsPIb4916634bc65-25405-37476310
