As a Dental Surgical Assistant, you will provide top-notch dental care assisting your dedicated Oral Surgeon in the clinical treatment of patients. The ideal candidate has their certifications (radiography, CPR/BLS, infection control) and previous experience (at least one year) as a Dental Assistant. If hired, you will be assigned to an oral surgeon as a part of his dedicated team of surgical assistants and travel with him to his preset 2-3 locations. Schedules are determined at the beginning of each month and remain steady but flexible throughout the year.ResponsibilitiesWelcome patients into the treatment area and make them feel comfortableDiscuss the dental care plan with patients and answer any questions they haveTake vital signs and accurately record medical historyPrep sterilized equipment and make it available to the dentist for exams and proceduresAssist the oral surgeon during procedures and examsAdhere to all health and safety regulations and office policiesQualificationsDental Assisting: 1 year (Required)Certifications (radiography, CPR/BLS, infection control)Excellent communication skillsTeam-orientedA keen eye for detailAbility to provide high-quality patient careWillingness & ability to travel between locationsComputer and data entry skills
